As part of the Record Store Day fun on Saturday, local musicians will be busking outside The Record Exchange from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The schedule is as follows:

Noon Dan Costello; Tuck Nelson
1 p.m. Fauxbois; Poke
2 p.m. Acousticats; Kayleigh Jack
3 p.m. Curtis Stigers; Matt Hopper
4 p.m aka Belle; Hokum Hi-Flyers
5 p.m. Hillfolk Noir; Boise Rock School
6 p.m. Jonathan Warren; Bernie Reilly
Record Exchange staffer Catherine and her band aka Belle are inviting the public to join them at 4 p.m. for a big old fashioned singalong during their busking slot. This spontaneous street choir will be filled with singers and non-singers alike — it doesn’t matter, as long as you have a voice and you aren’t afraid to use it! They don’t care which part you learn, just come join the band and help them create a singing mob on the streets of Boise!
If you want to hear the song, visit the aka Belle MySpace page, email the band and they’ll send you an MP3. Here are the lyrics and singing parts:
Catherine/girls: On the wall (x4)
There hangs (x4)
In a frame (x4)
A red wave
In blood (x4)
He wrote my name
Everyone all together: Painted Faded and Tainted gifts he gave
Catherine/girls: Stolen nails (x4)
And old wires (x4)
Wound and laid (x4)
Side by side
There’s a cloud, there’s a hill, there’s a sun
There’s a love of some kind
All together: Painted Faded and Tainted gifts he gave
YODEL!
Sam/boys: Well, we never parted very far
Catherine/girls: But you’re never home … that’s how it goes
Sam/boys: Well, you’ve got reminders on your wall
Catherine/girls: Of something I could never own
All together: And my heart’s still sore
All together: On the wall (x4)
There hangs (x4)
In a frame (x4)
A red wave
In blood (x4)
He wrote my name
Painted Faded and Tainted gifts he gave
repeat, faster, to the end
