Sometimes we don’t have what you’re looking for in the store. No problem! That’s why we offer prepaid special orders.
We accept pre-payments for special orders in the store, on the phone and at shop.therecordexchange.com. When calling, it’s helpful if you have the artist, album/movie title and desired format (vinyl, CD, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) handy before you contact us. For most special orders, we can usually get the item for you in a couple of days. But sometimes, particularly if the item is limited edition, in between manufacturing runs or delayed due to supply chain issues, it can take longer. In any case, we’ll call you when your order arrives, but it never hurts to check in with us if you haven’t heard anything for a week or two. We will not take your money unless the item is currently available through our distributors.
Note: Special orders that have not been picked up within six months of notification will be considered abandoned and returned to our inventory. The Record Exchange does not issue refunds or store credit for abandoned special orders.
