The national recognition came just as The Record Exchange was voted Best Local CD/Record Store for the 10th consecutive year by readers of Boise Weekly.

The Record Exchange was one of five Coalition of Independent Music Stores (CIMS) member stores on the GRAMMY list. Other CIMS stores on the list were Twist & Shout (Denver), Music Millennium (Portland, Ore.), Waterloo Records & Video (Austin, Texas) and Fingerprints (Long Beach, Calif.).

“The Record Exchange is honored to be included on this list. After more than 34 years in business, it’s rewarding to receive this kind of national recognition,” said Michael Bunnell, Record Exchange Founder/Owner and CIMS Executive Director. “I’m especially proud that the CIMS organization has half of the Top 10 stores in the country.”
