ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS DAY IS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27! WE HAVE CARDS!

So, pretty much every day is something, and by that we mean there’s a holiday (unofficial or otherwise) or other type of observance pretty much every day on the calendar year.

And on Wednesday, April 27, it’s Administrative Professionals Day. This is the day to celebrate the unsung heroes of the workplace, the receptionists, admins and other professionals who typically have to deal with the dogpile of duties that no one else in the office wants to deal with.

We have cards for these heroes here at The Record Exchange. Nice cards. Cards that say, “You’ve been doing nice things around the office, and we’ve been noticing.” We also have all kinds of great gift ideas in The Record Exchange Gift Shop if you really want to show them that you’ve been noticing.

IN THE RECORD EXCHANGE GIFT SHOP: FRANK KOZIK RECORD STORE DAY VINYL FIGURE STILL AVAILABLE (LIMITED TIME)!

All the Record Store Day exclusive fun isn’t limited to music. This year, Record Store Day teamed up with Frank Kozik to release four exclusive RSD RPM Kozik vinyl figures!

This special-edition collectible (limited to 5,000) comes in a blind box and is still available in limited quantities at The Record Exchange!

IN THE RECORD EXCHANGE GIFT SHOP: NEW RECORD EXCHANGE RINGER TEES!

Last week, we received our shipment of official 2011 Record Store Day T-shirts, and now we’re back to tell you about the fancy new Record Exchange ringer tees!

These latest additions to the RX “77” collection come in powder blue for the ladies and a warm, masculine yellow for the lads. They feature neck and arm holes, upper arm and full torso coverage and that intangible “wow factor” that makes kings of peasants and unites divided peoples. All that for only $14.99!

IN THE RECORD EXCHANGE GIFT SHOP: RECORD STORE DAY TEES ARE HERE!

Record Store Day is still a few days away, but The Record Exchange already has Record Store Day tees in stock!

And this year, we have not just one color, but two colors: purple for the ladies (pictured above) and navy blue for the lads. Sizes? S-XL women’s, S-2XL men’s.

We’re pretty excited that the shirts are here, because that means we can start wearing them. And you, dear customer, can buy one in advance and wear it on the big day — seriously, it’s totally acceptable and not one of those look-at-the-douchebag-who-wore-his-Metallica-shirt-to-the-Metallica-concert things. It’s a badge of honor yo.

IN THE RECORD EXCHANGE GIFT SHOP: YU-BE SKIN CREAM MAKES ITS RETURN!

Thanks to the persistence of one chapped Record Exchange staffer, the RX Gift Shop once again carries Yu-Be, the top-selling medicated, vitamin-enriched skin cream in Japan!

Invented in 1957 by Japanese pharmacist Yoshikiyo Nowatari, Yu-Be (pronounced “YOO-BEE”) is a Glycerin-based moisturizing cream enriched with Vitamin E, Vitamin B2 and Camphor. It’s the uniquely high Glycerin content and absorbability, achieved through a special manufacturing process in Japan, that makes Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream so effective on serious dry skin and truly sets it apart from other creams.

Seriously, this stuff is amazing. The first Japanese woman to summit Mt. Everest wore Yu-Be around her neck on the climb. Magazines from Cosmo to Alternative Press have sung Yu-Be’s praises. Rachael Ray says, “My skin stays super smooth, especially during the chilly months, with Yu-Be …”
