RECORD EXCHANGE (IN)SIDEWALK SALE DAY 3: LAST CHANCE TO SAVE TODAY!

It’s the third and final day of The Record Exchange annual Sidewalk Sale, and we’re staying inside. Seriously, we don’t want to melt. You don’t either, especially since this is your last day to take advantage of 20% off the entire store. You need to be dry yo.

On the “sidewalk” — the symbolic sidewalk, for now — you’ll find scores of savings and deep discounts, everything from 50-cent vinyl LPs and $1 CDs to Gift Shop clearance closeouts like collectible toys, cards, books, magazines, jewelry, stickers and $5.99 rock tees! That’s in addition to the 20% storewide sale. We close at 7 today, so get here before we turn into a pumpkin!

RECORD EXCHANGE (IN)SIDEWALK SALE DAY 2: BUSKIN’ IT IN THE SUNSHINE

Day 2 of The Record Exchange annual Sidewalk Sale has arrived, and so has the sunshine — but we’re still playing it safe and keeping everything indoors, as the forecast is calling for more rain later in the day. Maybe we’ll end up outside, maybe we won’t, but in either case, from now through Sunday you can enjoy 20% off the entire store!

Out on the “real” sidewalk, it’s First Saturday at The Record Exchange, and the Go Listen Boise buskers are filling the air with the sounds of local music badassitude. We still have a couple of hour slots open this afternoon, so if you’re musically inclined and want to get in on the busking action, come on down and sign up!

YEAH, IT’S RAINING, BUT THE SIDEWALK SALE IS STILL ON – INSIDE THE STORE

The Record Exchange annual Sidewalk Sale is on — inside the store.

We’re not letting the rain, well, rain on our parade, so we’ve set up inside until the sunshine comes out later this weekend. Inside or out, from now through Sunday you can enjoy 20% off the entire store.

Saturday, June 5, is also First Saturday at The Record Exchange, which means Go Listen Boise will be hosting a full schedule of talented local musicians busking on the RX sidewalk. For more info, including musician signups if you want to get involved, click HERE.

FATHER’S DAY AT RECORD EXCHANGE!

Father’s Day (June 20) will be here before you know it, and The Record Exchange wants to make sure all the Dad Rockers out there get the kind of treatment they deserve.

In addition to our new collection of Father’s Day cards, The Record Exchange Gift Shop is well-stocked with Dad-itude, including tons of Beatles gifts: T-shirts, hats, mugs, Beatles Trivial Pursuit, Beatles Monopoly, album cover puzzles, stickers, patches, key chains, books, etc.

Oh yeah, and Beatles music on CD, DVD and vinyl — new, used and collectible. Speaking of collectibles, on June 8, The Record Exchange will have a brand-new indie store exclusive Beatles 7-inch, the first of the newly-remastered Beatles material to be put on wax! This delicious 45 features “Paperback Writer” and “Rain” and is limited to 4,000 copies worldwide. Fab!

If you’re thinking clothing, well, let’s just say your dad would probably rather rock one of our rock T-shirts than some crappy Sears pastel polo shirt.

No matter his listening tastes, we have your dad’s torso covered: Built to Spill, Josh Ritter, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Black Flag, U2, Pearl Jam, Pixies, Nirvana, Radiohead, etc. etc. We also have custom Record Exchange and Record Store Day tees!

Is your dad into John Wayne? So are we. As American icons go, John Wayne is right up there with Elvis, James Dean and Marilyn Monroe. Dude was simply badass. And really, can you think of anything better than a set of Duke playing cards to say “I’m a badass, too?”

And that’s just one example of the John Wayne gift badassitude we have here at The Record Exchange. Here’s what else we have in the arsenal:

• John Wayne coffee mug.
• John Wayne DVD film collections.
• John Wayne pilsner glass and pilsner glass/coaster set.

We chose Monday for NoonTunes because, well, Mondays suck. And what better way to get out of the office than to come down to your favorite independent record store and score deep discounts during your lunch break!
