GIRL AND GIRL Thursday, March 27 (4pm)

Australia’s Girl and Girl are fast gaining a worldwide fanbase for their passionate, wry brand of ’70s post-punk-influenced guitar rock. Formed in 2020 in Queensland, Girl and Girl features singer/guitarist Kai James, guitarist Jayden Wiliams, bassist Fraser Bell and drummer Melissa James (aka Aunt Liss). Following several buzzed-about EPs, the group signed with Sub Pop and released their full-length debut, Call a Doctor, in May 2024.

The band’s official Treefort set is 7:40-8:40pm Thursday, March 27 at Shrine Social Club (Ballroom).

SUN ATOMS ‘Everything Forever’ Boise Album Release Party Friday, March 28 (4pm)

Portland psychedelic gaze-wave outfit Sun Atoms present their sophomore album Everything Forever, released via Little Cloud Records. Meticulously crafted with cosmic energy, their magnum opus features notable guest appearances by Modest Mouse’s Isaac Brock, Jasno Swarez of The Vandelles and Lauren Andino of TREMOURS, amongst others. This sophomore album realizes the promise that was there in the debut not only musically, but in a sacred sense. This album gets between the ears, then heads south down past the brain and into the heart.

The band’s official Treefort set is 9-10pm Thursday, March 27 at Lost Grove Brewing.

FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER Saturday, March 29 (1pm)

Family Worship Center specializes in a strain of redemptive, 1970s-styled rock ‘n’ roll that recalls the Rolling Stones, Leon Russell, The Band and Delaney and Bonnie. The band formed in 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee, founded by prophetic visionary, singer-songwriter and keyboardist Krissberg, but it has since relocated to Portland, Oregon. The Family’s latest offering, Kicked Out of the Garden, features a core band of devoted musicians, and was produced by Portland go-to producer Cameron Spies (Spoon Benders, The Shivas) who specializes in what he calls “mid-fi.”

The band’s official Treefort set is 11:20pm-12:10am Friday, March 28 at the Olympic Venue.

CAB ELLIS Sunday, March 30 (1pm)

Best known for their uninhibited, intoxicating live performances, Cab Ellis is the New York alt-rock underground revival’s best kept secret. With a penchant for stage-diving, spitting beer into mosh pits and splitting guitar strings center stage, the band stirs a certain chaos and confusion in young fans while conjuring a deep nostalgia for a bygone era in older listeners.

The band’s official Treefort set is 3:20-4:10pm Friday, March 28 at the Hideout.
