The Record Exchange is participating in the 12th annual(ish) Boise Record Show and Swap on Sunday, Sept. 19 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at the Basque Center, 601 W. Grove St. in Downtown Boise. General admission is $5 beginning at 10 a.m.; VIP early admission hour is $10 beginning at 9 a.m. A free raffle ticket is included with all admissions.
Dealers from four states – including private dealers and independent record stores – will offer thousands of records across a wide variety of genres. Everyone from the hardcore collector hunting for rarities to the thrifty newcomer looking to start a collection will find something at the swap. The Record Exchange will have vinyl ranging from collectibles to $1 LPs, and much of it hasn’t hit the floor yet at the store!
COVID PROTOCOLS: In accordance with current health recommendations for public events, masks are recommended for vendors, volunteers and attendees regardless of vaccination status and masks are required for anyone who is not vaccinated. Disposable masks and hand sanitizer will be provided free of charge.
The Basque Center’s bar will be open for guests 21 and older starting at noon.
VPS Idaho will have hourly raffle drawings, records spinning all day on the VPS hi-fi and merchandise for sale. Visitors to the swap can also sign up for free VPS membership.
