In response to recent announcements from the CDC and City of Boise, here’s an update on The Record Exchange’s shopping policies.
Masks are still required for all – regardless of vaccination status – at all times inside the store. No exceptions. We are still limiting capacity and requiring customers to social distance while shopping. Until we are comfortable with the vaccination rates in Idaho, these requirements will remain in place – as they have been from the start – to protect our customers and staff.
The Record Exchange is open from 10am to 7pm Monday-Saturday and 10am to 6pm Sundays. For now we are sticking with those times, but we’re hoping at some point this year to extend our hours again, including early-morning service at our espresso bar in The Record Exchange Gift Shop.
When The Record Exchange reopened in May 2020, we established several safety measures and shopping requirements that remain in place today:
- Limited capacity inside the store.
- Masks for staff and customers worn in the proper position (covering your mouth AND nostrils).
- Social distancing while shopping.
- Hand sanitizer available at the door and counters.
- Regular cleaning and sanitizing throughout the day and after hours.
We understand that some of our customers are now vaccinated and more of you will be soon, but these shopping requirements remain in place for everyone.
We see the light at the end of the tunnel, but until we get there, we will continue to prioritize safety inside the store. It’s the reason why we recently installed virus-killing technology for our ventilation system, and why we continue to offer curbside pickup, in-store pickup and delivery services. For in-store shopping, The Record Exchange has an array of contactless payment options with supported debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google/Android Pay.
Thank you again for supporting our independent business at a crucial juncture in our history. If you have any questions or comments regarding our shopping policies, please contact us here.
