We’re halfway through this strange year and sharing our favorite albums of 2020 thus far!
Here’s our founder/co-owner Michael’s list of current favs with some words about each of his picks. Purchase in-store or online for curbside pickup or shipping worldwide!
The Third Mind – The Third Mind
Dave Alvin and the Campers go psychedelic and bring Jesse Sykes into the mix. Feels like a jam in SF in the late Sixties. The dedication tells it all. More please.
Bob Dylan – Rough and Rowdy Ways
Never count him out. It’s a quiet record that takes a few listens, but the more you hear, the better it gets.
Lucinda Williams – Good Souls Better Angels
Not breaking new ground here but still a great record. Hard hitting and political with songs titles like “Man Without a Soul” and “Pray the Devil Back to Hell” prove my point.
Corb Lund – Agricultural Traffic
Just some good country fun. We need it. Keep an eye on this guy.
The Jayhawks – XOXO
After the excellent Paging Mr Proust I expected a dip, but these guys are at the top of their game.
