Interpol has a new album out, and The Record Exchange has two vinyl versions — the standard 33-RPM version and the limited-edition 45-RPM double LP!
The standard version is available online, but you can only get the 45-RPM version in the store — and it comes with a free Interpol 45 adapter!
So, what’s the big deal about 45 RPM as opposed to 33 RPM? Many audiophiles and jazz nerds claim the sound quality is superior on 45-RPM records. Maybe there’s some truth to that, or maybe it’s because they spend too much time in their bedrooms hiding from the mothers they still live with, God bless ’em. Whatever.
