Literary indie rock fans, take note: a new Decemberists 7-inch single just arrived at The Record Exchange, and we’re selling it to you good people for the low, low price of $2!
Furthermore, the 7-inch comes with a postcard including a tear-off coupon that you can bring back to the store on Jan. 18 and get $2 off the Decemberists’ new album The King is Dead. (The coupon is valid for a month from release date.)
The 7-inch features two tracks: “January Hymn” from the forthcoming album and a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Row Jimmy.”
That’s right, hipster turds: Now you have to stop pretending you don’t like the Dead because your beloved Decemberists have made it okay to publicly like the Dead. Put that in your cardigan sweater and smoke it!
Will this be available online as well?
Will Row Jimmy be on any other mediums beside the 7″?!
Also wondering if this will be online!! I’m from Manitoba, Canada and we don’t have this store there.
Would love to buy it online! Unfortunately I can’t warrant the drive from Portland. 🙁
