Rise Against is performing at the Revolution Concert House on Saturday, Aug. 8, and we’re partnering with CT Touring to offer one lucky fan a $300 Record Exchange shopping spree with a member of the band plus a pair of tickets to the show!

To enter the drawing, visit The Record Exchange (1105 W. Idaho St., Boise) or send an email* with the subject “Rise Against” HERE by 9pm Friday, July 31. We will draw a name at random and notify the winner on Saturday, Aug. 1.

* One entry per person, NOT per email address. If you have 16 email addresses and you enter with each address, we’ll just delete 15 of them. We have the technology. The Record Exchange is celebrating the release of Jason Isbell‘s new album Something More Than Free with a listening party at 6pm Friday, July 17. We’ll have Something More Than Free available for purchase on CD and vinyl, including a limited number of indie exclusive $8.99 CDs and a special vinyl edition with a bonus slipmat!

We’ll also have an ultra-rare (only 25 available worldwide) vinyl test pressing of the album signed by Jason himself to raffle off at the event!

Something More Than Free is the follow up to Isbell’s 2013 celebrated breakthrough album Southeastern, which received overwhelming support from the press and went on to sell over 150,000 copies. Isbell was the subject of stories in outlets ranging from The New York Times Magazine and Wall Street Journal to NPR’s All Things Considered and Fresh Air with Terry Gross. Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit made multiple television appearances, including The Late Show with David Letterman, Conan and Austin City Limits. Isbell won Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (Cover Me Up) and Album of the Year at the 2014 Americana Music Awards. At David Letterman’s personal request, Jason and his wife Amanda Shires performed on one of the last episodes of The Late Show in April 2015.

Ghostface Killah’s Adrian Younge Presents: Twelve Reasons to Die II is now available at The Record Exchange on CD and LP!

Says Pitchfork of Twelve Reasons to Die II: “If Twelve Reasons to Die is a comic, then its sequel is the cinematic adaptation or a reboot of the franchise; the source material is the same, but the execution is tightened in places. It has a bigger-budget feel—stronger guests, better pacing, and a more careful consideration for its audience. RZA narrates the passages too tricky to rap. Adrian Younge warps thick ’70s soul sounds into a concrete jungle. But mostly, TRTD II is simply able to succeed where its predecessor failed with the benefit of hindsight. With a proper framing device, more capable bit players (Scarub and Chino XL), and closer attention to detail, Ghostface and Younge do a better job sketching out an alternate universe.”
