• NUMBER OF THE BEAST SALE: LAETHORA FOR $6.66

Look, metal rules, okay? Yeah, some of it is dumb, some of it is lame, but a lot of it kicks major ass. Even hipster turds keep a couple of metal bands in their back pocket for when some sad bastard band like Belle and Sebastian just ain’t feelin’ right.

ThinkIndie recently launched Number of the Beast, a new metal sale program, which gives you great deals on great new metal bands on a regular basis. This week, get Laethora‘s The Light in Which We All Burn for the devilish price of $6.66!

• LABEL SPOTLIGHT: PARK THE VAN

Started in 2004 and formed on the idea of liking a band, Park the Van represents everything good about the music business. By loving what they release, and having a clear vision and style, it made it easy for music fans and record store clerks to talk up this new label.

Park the Van has a new series of releases from bands they think need your attention. The series is called Delicacies, and we have a few choice titles on sale, including early Dr. Dog albums. We have also added some of their classic label catalog to fill out the page. Dig in; it’s delicious.

INTRODUCING THE RECORD EXCHANGE BLUE AND ORANGE FOOTBALL SALE!

Like football? So do we. And with a new season of gridiron action right around the corner, we’re pleased to announce the new Record Exchange Blue and Orange Sale.

This fall, all of our used CDs, DVDs and vinyl LPs* will be on sale the day after a Boise State football victory.

The percentage we discount our used products the day after the game will be equal to the number of points the Broncos win by the day before. For example, if they win by 30 points, you get 30% off your total used purchase. (Maximum discount is 40%. If the Broncos, gasp, actually lose, no discount will be offered that week.)

Check your email after each game, as we will deliver a special message with the next day’s discount straight to your inbox. If you haven’t signed up to receive Record Exchange emails, you can register HERE.

Go Broncos!

* Excludes used CDs, DVDs and vinyl LPs over $40.
