ABOUT RADIO BOISE

KRBX 89.9 FM/93.5 FM Downtown presents music, arts, culture, affairs, and issues that are not well represented in other media offerings. Programming reaches a population of almost 500,000 people, the largest area in the nation that until 2011 was not served by community radio (3,000+ square miles). In addition to the terrestrial broadcast, the Internet broadcast can be heard on the web (including mobile devices) at radioboise.org.

Radio Boise was founded to fill an essential need. We use radio to connect our community. Through a local approach to broadcasting, Radio Boise upholds programming principles designed to inspire creative discussion and enhance social, cultural and environmental awareness by providing music and community affairs programming within our broadcast area. Our goal is simple — we want to give people their voices back.
