ABOUT DEEP HEAVEN:

Deep Heaven is a Boise-based duo crafting immersive post-punk electronica. Their sound blends new wave guitar, analog synthesizers and electronic percussion into a unified landscape of cinema, texture and melody.

Formed in 2024, the project is led by Maxwell Modeen (synths, drum programming) and Joseph Hoisington (guitar, vocals), both deeply rooted in Boise’s music scene. Their work reimagines the machines of the 80s and 90s through a modern lens of atmospheric pop.

Their self-produced debut EP in: (via Moon Ruins Records) introduces a focused and emotionally driven sonic identity. It opens with a powerful pairing of breakbeat rhythms, lush synth layer and mournful vocals. Thematically, the EP explores isolation, digital dysphoria and relational burden.

Deep Heaven will be performing at Treefort on Friday, March 27 at Knitting Factory (7:20pm).
