Payette Brewing Co. and Boise Weekly present Banjos and Beer, an evening of live banjo music and craft beer, at 6pm Friday, April 28 at The Record Exchange (1105 W. Idaho St.). As always, this Record Exchange in-store event is free and all-ages.
Please join us as well-known Treasure Valley five-string banjo players Jason Homey and Gary Eller strut their stuff. Jason (a British Columbia native) and Gary (a native West Virginian) have over 80 years combined banjo experience and have won numerous banjo contests. We’ll have free beer courtesy of Payette Brewing Co. (21+ with valid I.D.).
Jason currently has about fifty banjo students and with Gary has run an acclaimed three-day bluegrass banjo camp at Weiser for four years. Gary and Jason will highlight banjo music they have played since childhood, as well as in their current CDs and bands Clumsy Lovers, Chicken Dinner Road, The Story Tellers and the Idaho Songs Project.
