boise does bowie poster94.9 FM The River presents Boise Does Boise, a Celebration of the Music of David Bowie Live at The Record Exchange (1105 W. Idaho St. in Downtown Boise) at 6pm Thursday, Jan. 28. As always, this Record Exchange in-store event is free and all ages.

NOTE: Due to anticipated attendance, we will be distributing admission wristbands beginning at 5pm (one hour before showtime). Should we reach capacity, the wristband will guarantee your admission to the event; if we don’t reach capacity, you’ll simply look cool wearing your new accessory.

With the passing of David Bowie on Jan. 10, we’ve gathered a diverse lineup of Boise musicians to celebrate the life and music of the Thin White Duke with an evening of live covers, including a full set by the Bowie tribute band Davey Jones and the Spiders from Bars. The River’s Tim Johnstone emcees.

Archie’s Place will be on hand offering selections from their menu, and we’ll have Bowie-related raffle prizes anyone who comes in Bowie-themed costume will be entered into a special raffle!
