Valerie is heading into her senior year at Boise State University studying communication, which has brought her to the Record Exchange to become the marketing and promotions intern.
She will be learning the finer points of record store business, as well as working with in-store events, blog posts, social media updates, music displays, visual merchandising, and avoiding the notorious “attic” at all costs due to her intense fear of spiders. She also will be taking over the RX booth during Alive After Five every Wednesday this summer. She hopes the internship will help her further progress in the music world to land her a job after graduation.
When Valerie is not at the Record Exchange, she is refining her skills as a professional competitive jump roper. She has been involved in the sport for nearly nine years and has participated in many competitions earning her place in the spotlight. She also currently works at Macy’s as a make-up artist, which will also help her visual skills as an intern here at The Record Exchange.
