• EARLY MAN’S DEATH POTION FOR THE WICKED LOW SALE PRICE OF $6.66
Early Man stirred up some buzz with their debut EP on Moniter Records and then even more attention with their debut album on Matador Records. Matador had not signed a metal band before, so people took notice. They have since moved to The End Records, the same label as the new Danzig release, for Death Potion, currently on sale for the evil price of $6.66 — no one else on the planet is selling it that cheap, and you can’t get the physical CD until July 20!
Early Man’s sound draws from Metallica, Celtic Frost and Black Sabbath. The best part of their story is that the two main members come from Pentecostalist parents that shielded them from rock music. That all changed when they turned 19 and discovered rock and metal. Their family disowned them and their friends were scared of them after their conversion to heavy music. Death Potion is produced by Seattle super-producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, High On Fire, Three Inches of Blood). Rapid-fire riffs and raw emotion make this album unique in the work of heavy metal. Fire away.

• LABEL SPOTLIGHT: PARK THE VAN
Started in 2004 and formed on the idea of liking a band, Park the Van represents everything good about the music business. By loving what they release, and having a clear vision and style, it made it easy for music fans and record store clerks to talk up this new label.
Park the Van has a new series of releases from bands they think need your attention. The series is called Delicacies, and we have a few choice titles on sale, including early Dr. Dog albums. We have also added some of their classic label catalog to fill out the page. Dig in; it’s delicious.
